  1. Question, was NATO supposed to expand to the Russian border after the fall of the Soviet Union? I couldn't find that that in the 1997 Helsinki agreement. Secondly, Russia trying to take land up to the Dnepr River would be folly. And they know it. Not going to happen.

  2. I believe, that the true Russian objective, would be the dissolution of NATO. Which would be self-inflicted. Many members wouldn't support military action which would become an "emperor has no clothes" moment. After that, faith in NATO to do anything substantial would disappear. Just ask the Afghans about their NATO experience 😂

  3.  @aresnir2725  Agreed. That's why Germany is being so quiet. Besides, the military that pulled off the Crimea operation in total surprise is now going to spend months telegraphing their next move so the can enjoy a tough occupation and forever partisan problem? Highly unlikely.

  5. Why "would they have to bypass Chernobyl"? They'd be through that zone in hours. It would be equivalent to panzers moving thru a no-go zone called the Ardennes 😂 I'm sorry, but this was intellectually lazy.
