Actually no none of the financing for Ludwig's II building projects ever came from the Bavarian State's money it was all financed directly by himself and his personal fortune The terrible part was he tried to finance 3 massive building projects at the same time: Lustschloss of Linderhof Palace, Neuschwanstein, and the Baroque palace of Herrenchiemsee

  3. Actually most of the castle's he commissioned to be built he paid for out of his own personal fortune not the Bavarian State's money It was his own personal fortune that he sadly blew through to the point where he was taking on creditors just to complete his projects
