There will always be a prohibition on SOMETHING this just a fact And Drogas will always be abused in some form by the population of a nation, no matter what You can't do the extreme left and allow everything to be open and fully legal And you can't do the extreme right and have everything be severely punished and restricted The best you can hope for is a nice medium in-between of in this forever continuum of illicit substance policing

  6.  @Nahmate1337  and that is where you're incorrect it is being objective, I am not letting any of my opinions into the statement It remains to be seen if people will listen and understand to what mental outlaw has stated by Monero being open source and this high profile individual now working with law enforcement is in his own words a "nothing burger" Or will people act irrationally and let the recently revealed situation affect the reputation of Monero in a negative capacity Those are the two outcomes, and it remains to be seen

I don't know about that one mental outlaw I mean Portland made practically every drogas legal as long as it was in small quantities for personal use and it didn't benefit them in the long run Homelessness increased, urban decay increased, spray paint tagging increased and the city started to look ugly when it was once called the city of roses The burden on hospitals increased as did emergency responders it got so bad where dialing 911 was busy or it played a pre-recorded message crime increased as well and while sure most of it was non violent misdemeanors like shoplifting but what a constant source of shoplifting does is it makes it so I don't want to do business in that City and because the city eventually has fewer and fewer businesses because they keep leaving the city then can't find the taxes to afford all of these social welfare programs so they start raising the taxes on everybody else that can't leave the city like your lower income So I'm sorry mental I know it's very inconsistent and I absolutely agree that fast food peddlers and soda peddlers are just as much to blame for a public health issue but I just can't support the idea of not letting some government form of prohibited substances not be enforced at all

That would be great but those are the outliers sadly much of the culture slowly evaporates as it's seen as useless by the newer generations And what usually happens is you get a generational divide amongst the tribe where one side becomes increasingly conservative and traditional while the other wants to utilize the modern world

I'm in the same boat I agree with most of the points but at the same time this guy, this developer, I don't believe he had the best of social skills and I believe he was also too connected to the community that he was placating, Ergo his frustration, That too much time spent interacting with the community caused him to be angry and frustrated because the community was saying stupid questions there by causing him to issue bans and only the further fan the flames of the community seeing him as a ogre of sorts causing him again to be frustrated and angry and result in more bans A negative feedback loop And yes forcing rules of only speaking English is a little too much but then again that's what these discord people do Once they set up and own a discord they develop like an overnight God complex and just set whatever rules and regulations that they want

  14.  @Provocateur3  good for you buddy, likewise I never participated much and social media I never had a Twitter I couldn't figure out how to use it I admit I did once had a Facebook but that was back in 2005 and I finally deleted it in 2011 after years of not using it This YT comment section is pretty much all I got left and even then I still won't need it for long

You have free speech you just have to either own the platform or to create your own platform when you're using anyone else's platform your subject to their rules The free-speech concept is that you are free to create your own platform But to create your own platform it takes a massive amount of capital and resources and it doesn't always succeed

IMO if you want to have free speech you have to include the negative aspects as well Personally I think that the majority of people will try to be civil as much as possible even of they do have the ability to go off the rails Its the fact that the platforms are being extremely restrictive and damning to any and all "offensive" content is causing more damage I don't care that some one said a stupid name of a river in nigeria incorrectly 20 years ago, but these platforms are making it so that this type of misstep is almost never laid to rest

I'm not going to be a Elon Fanboy because I think he is many problems especially with his resistance to consumer rights to repair But in regards to the plane itinerary location thing, yeah the individual in question was using illegal methods to gain the location data for Elon and his family he was not using publicly available information And that's why I'm not going to say in that one specific instance was Elon being hypocritical in his ban of that individual

To be honest I'm perfectly fine with some things on the internet not being perfectly archived I'm having a very hard time separating the methods that IH utilizes from what Microsoft announced with their newest widows 11 operating system, where everything is screenshot and sent off to Microsoft every few seconds So I'm not going to be exactly shedding tears for any organization at all that constantly just archives the internet every second of every day

Yeah it can never become established fact because the Chinese will never allow an investigation into the Wuhan institute of virology Meaning we will never find any empirical evidence to prove it, but what we can do is we can indeed look to previous incidents that the Wuhan location had and they did indeed have a history of gross negligence and mismanagement The biggest one was in 2014 when an agent did indeed escape containment and caused some research staff to become dreadfully sick And also there's the fact that we never found any carrier animal despite years later after the incident For example we found the carrier animal for Chinese bird flu in only 2 months in 2002 when it first began and that's was also when the CCP was trying to cover it up
