Warning Slightly Long Post!!!!!! - still recommend you read regardless though For Ana, I will admit takes a lot of stones for someone like her admit they were in the wrong on this large of a scale and I can give a little respect for that..... Not a lot, but a little It's very much reminds me of the woman who made the documentary about the men's rights movement, called The Red Pill (She also made a TED talk which I HIGHLY recommended that you see it. Its actually one of the few good ones) She was the epitome of the spiteful raging feminist and she openly admitted that, but she forever changed her views as she researched her subject matter more intensely to make sure her documentary on men's rights was up to her own high standards And in her Ted talk she said something that I'll personally never forget: "When you begin to humanize with your enemy, you will in turn be dehumanized by your community" And that's exactly what happened to her; Overnight her friends and acquaintances she had known for 20+ years, who had cheered her on in her job as a journalist and documentary director, dropped her faster than you wouldn't believe Called her every nasty name in the book, boycotted her, slandered her you name it And to her it was mind blowing because she never got this vile treatment from her supposed "enemy" that her extreme feminist individuals drilled into her were her enemies They all came from former "allies" she had built up a lifetime of capitulating to, and while she admits in her own words: "no longer calls herself a feminist" the experience helped her grow as a person

That's fair, it's a lot harder to call out the Left side on their dishonesty when compared to the Right Because the left were historically the ones who would put forth the ideas that we take for granted now: Women in the work place Shexual orientation acceptance Civil rights freedoms Freedom of access to information Workplace safety Child labor laws Environmental conservation Indigenous culture preservation Societal Medical Access Law enforcement accountability Substance decriminalization Etc. That's the very definition of liberalism it's to put forward reforms in a society, the very definition of conservatism is to resist reform And resistance towards reforms are not a bad thing because sometimes the suggested reforms can be more damaging towards society: Just look at the men in women's sports under the guise of trans Or the "body positivity movement" promoting unhealthy lifestyles and simultaneously denouncing nutritional science But because all of these reforms as a collective at one point were resisted by the very nature of being a participant in conservatism it's built up a bad image of the conservative side that can be exploited by anyone on the Left who wants to further misinform others
