Kinda interesting that Mexico and Russia have a very similar concentration of demographics in regards to their national geography

Guzman controlled a region of Mexico, Escobar controlled a Nation

I never thought that the Koreas shouldn't unite but they will have to tackle a lot of issues If the Korea's United it would be a happy day with a massive governmental shit storm looming over the horizon. The North would have to be basically built from the ground up. The South Korean government would have to heavily subsidize the development of its infrastructure, it's resources and it's population. It would also have to purge the those who participated in crimes against humanity. The slave camps of the DPRK are no secret. A military tribunal would be undertaken as well as an international one. Trying to locate those responsible and gathering as much evidence as possible. The South Korean government would now become a nuclear power. With its own weapons stockpile, it would have to deal with the question of whether to keep these weapons or dismantling them. The South Korean government would have to reorganize and re-evaluate it's alliances with the US. Should it allow for US troops to be stationed on the border of both China and Russia? The South Korean government would also have to battle decades of propaganda that the North Korean population had been subjected to. I could go on I'll just leave it and say the immense societal issues and economic issues would be huge undertaking.

I can't remember if of the Portuguese also ever conquered it or did they just set up a trading post? I know they named it Formosa back in the day

That's because the Dominant Naval power of the world/region has the ability to project power beyond it's notional borders There has been only 6 countries in the world which escaped colonialism and it's because they were either buffer zones between two competing colonial states (such as Thailand) or they became colonial powers themselves (Such as Japan and Turkey)
4
Yes, but it also means it's harder for Mexico to unite under a central authority and it also means it's much easier for these isolated communities to potentially rebel and attempt secession We saw that first hand in the 1990s when much of Southern Mexico used the isolation and neglect from Mexico City as a rallying cry for secessionist ferver and this wasn't helped by many indigenous tribal groups also adding their voices to this issue
4
Yep, Which is why it's sad that many of the progressive Media don't actually believe Yeonming Park was an actual NK defector Because Yeonming calls them out for supporting communist authoritarian policies
3
Let's just hope that when Taiwan takes over the mainland China they don't claim Xinjiang as well And they let East Turkistan become independent
3
I'd imagine that it would be insanely difficult to get a permit from the NK gov to let you leave the country for work and then come back
3
This is true, the largest losses of life have been in China over the millennia Heck the Chinese cultural revolution was more deadly in loss of life then the entire Russian losses in WW2, and remember Russia lost a whopping 20 million during that conflict
3
@LibertarianLeninistRants I was about to comment this. Lol but pretty much the Soviet Union fell because it was unable to fund it's massive military any longer and then it's officers and generals led rebellions against the central authority. Those rebellions then supported new and existing nationalistic ideas of separate nation states. Examples being Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Georgia, Belarus etc.

Don't forget about the Umayyad, the Abassids, the Mayurans, Khazswarmeni
2
It's true geography is the first card to be played when it comes to the development of a nation The second card is the culture of its inhabitants And the geography plays a significant role in what kind of culture will develop by the same inhabitants
2
Don't forget about the Abassids😉 "Graveyard of empires my ass"

Good job on Montana for following in the footsteps of the government of India
2
Not good but not bad either Oman is in a very unique position in that is is the only Muslim majority nation to follow neither of the Sunni or Shia split of Islam but a third interpretation instead That alone makes it heretical to some nations like Iran and distrusted by others like Saudi Arabia
2
Real life lore you're always behind lol 😂 Caspian Report posted about this years ago

RLL a question. We know that black holes exist in the center of galaxies, but what if there we black holes that spanned the virgo supercluster? Do you think a ultra massive black hole is possible?

@alanfriesen9837 well we can speculate all day but it doesn't change much. I DO want to see the Korea's United but they may just have to wait till the right moment.

The same thing with Vladivostok

US liberals: "All borders need to never have fences and walls it's racist" Me: "You do know that India has the largest border wall in the world with Bangladesh right?" "And they also built it echoing many of the reasons the US conservative side often states: In an effort to curb illegal Bangladeshis crossing into India and taking low skill jobs, drugs and arms control, as well as for national security reasons as terror groups are active in the area" US liberals: "Yeah but that's different cause it's India" Me: 🤦

Remember when the media went on a spree praising North Korea, just to be contrarian to President Trump? Strange times that
1
You may call these plans insane and unnecessary, but in the world of geopolitics there are no allies only national interests. There exist many of these types of these plans for instance Japan had a plan to combat America in 1925.
1
Wow that was some GTA V level detailed planning
1
Also because Norway has effectively outsourced its biggest concern, sovereignty security to the US via NATO, that means it doesn't have to spend millions and billions of dollars in military spending And it can save all that money on building up its own economy
1
Well well well looks like the meme joke of only the United States invading a foreign country for oil is about to be retired 😂

It's an extremely difficult decision, but you'll find that once you become a parent the natural instinct of mankind is you really do try to sacrifice everything for your children
1
Oh they will fight be it probably wouldn't be the overt style like Russia and Ukraine No it would be an indirect version of fighting. Ethiopia already has issues with segments of its population and regional government look at Tigray for example, Egypt could attempt to take advantage of that And in the same vein Egypt has issues with inequality and unequal development between it's East bank and West bank of the Nile which if it so chose Ethiopia could attempt to take advantage of to cause unrest in Egypt

But the word is "Mayate" an M word

Pakistan has been having trouble with sexual trafficking of Pakistani girls into China for over 25 years. And some how the Pakistani government calls China an ally

First rule of geopolitics there are no permanent allies only permanent national interests

Everyone thinks that nuclear weapons are the deadliest weapons, this is not entirely true. The capacity of the destruction of Nuclear weapons is immense, but the most destructive weaponry is artillery and it has the highest Killings of any other modern military weapon
