I commented something similar if they really wanted to tell stories about black rulers that that were actually part of Egyptian history they could have researched into the Nubian and Kushite Pharaohs But that's hard work, why bother researching something into the actual demographic of history that you're interested in when you can just take something that has mainstream appeal slap a new coat of paint on its skin and resell it all the while screaming at anyone who doesn't like it as "bigot"

This situation right here is why you should love the very concept of a public domain The fact that Disney thinks they can sell you a horrible depiction of Snow White and they will make hundreds of millions of dollars off of it and you are forced to see it because they're that huge of a company is just completely asinine So be glad that because Snow White is in the protected status of the public domain literally anyone can come in and try their luck at making a Snow White story and turning into a movie a hope to reap financial success

  41.  @GaryBonaducci  I never said literally exactly the same There are however lines from the first movie that are literally exactly the same But it is eerily similar in terms of plot line it's like a plot line that's so similar between the Hangover and then The Hangover 2 I don't see too much of a difference, if you're a fan of the first one you're going to be a fan of the second one. Or if you're just an overall fan of James Cameron you're going to enjoy this movie no matter what but yes you cannot deny this plot is full of surface level cliches and hey some folks like it, But the repeating plot elements is very much a similar thing in terms of an overarching plot of: The Hangover and The Hangover 2 and then The Hangover 3 All of them had similar plots

Remember that when a now considered beloved classic and part of cinema history of a movie was debuted in 1964 it was trashed by the critics of the era and it took 45 years for it to gain recognition That movie was called A Fistful of Dollars More, starring Clint Eastwood I think you guys are being a little too demanding because you are used to nothing but professional pieces This is his very first attempt at Cinema he has ZERO experience at managing a budget, renting the equipment writing the script, casting actors, scouting for film locations, getting costumes, make-up, set pieces, and then editing the whole thing You HAVE TO START SOMEWHERE with whatever chosen art form you choose to do, and this is an a heartfelt attempt of course it's going to be bad in comparison to the great other movies out there that have already stood the test of time The difference is that he will improve upon the failures he will be making, and you can bet he will accept the criticism and push past it to become a better creative Not wallow in it and say woe is me, and blame everyone else but himself

I agree on nearly all accounts drinker except for your revenge of the sith one yeah there was heavy use of CGI but that was an actual pretty good job use of the CGI because at that point it was still George Lucas directing it and he did a very well done job you can't deny that fight scene and all the CGI behind it is legendary George Lucas did a great job and actually was creating sets and pop pieces for the scene he even actually went to an actual volcano that was erupting and got the footage of it to be later put into the cut So yes there is CGI but it's blended in very nicely in the entire action scene

  137.  @MS-sb9ov  yes there's pros and cons to at-will employment States Personally I much prefer them because it's easiest to let go of troublesome or unproductive employees if you are a business owner As you don't need to hire legal services to go through an employment contract with a fine tooth comb And at the same time as an employee you can leave a business at anytime for any reason and you don't suffer any penalty as a result of it So those are the Pros The cons are a bit more obvious, if a business feels but doesn't have concrete proof of any misconduct they can indeed let you go at the drop of a hat And also it's much harder for an employee to prove to the court system of wrongful termination in an At-will state

  142. yeah he can use CGI well enough but his story writing skills are terrible the first avatar which even drinker talks about himself is seen as a "successful failure" Where the protagonist of the story ends up even betraying humanity all to get some native pooty, he didn't even do his job which was to engage in talks and discussion with the natives and begin to negotiate for goods and services in exchange for the Ore they were mining And also the dumbass idea that a native species could have unlimited godly plot armour to soundly defeat a civilization what already has mastered the art of interstellar travel and has access to the orbital bombardment strategy of warfare

Yeah very much don't like the concept of alternate universes parallel dimensions and time travel when it comes to storytelling Its very rare that any of those are executed well enough to help tell the story More often they detract from it by eliminating any and all stakes or urgency Why does it matter if the hero is successful when there's a convenient "what if" ready to undo everything
