  5.  @MS-sb9ov  yes there's pros and cons to at-will employment States Personally I much prefer them because it's easiest to let go of troublesome or unproductive employees if you are a business owner As you don't need to hire legal services to go through an employment contract with a fine tooth comb And at the same time as an employee you can leave a business at anytime for any reason and you don't suffer any penalty as a result of it So those are the Pros The cons are a bit more obvious, if a business feels but doesn't have concrete proof of any misconduct they can indeed let you go at the drop of a hat And also it's much harder for an employee to prove to the court system of wrongful termination in an At-will state
