I can explain that segment a little better So in the modern design of vehicles, when you are getting into a collision the vehicle is designed to absorb as much of the force and distribute it to the frame of car as much as it can before it is applied to the passenger/driver These vehicles are designed to cumple up and take all of that force and redistribute it, and thats why the car was totaled but the driver was unharmed In the cyber trucks case it was designed differently meaning the truck will not crumble inward and distribute the force of a collision around the entirety of the frame of the car and away from the occupants the force of the collision is centered entirely on the point of impact, and then it is passed along to the occupants, thats why the driver of the cyber truck was injured and why the car was not totalled The point made in that case is that the cyber truck driver was injured as a result of a collision and the other driver was not

@reedofwater I don't care what you do in regards to the truck buy it/love it/hate it I just hoped to help explain some ideas regarding car manufacturing what you do with it is what you will Every single car sold on the market today will have advantages and disadvantages this cyber truck is no different tailor your car to what you need it for based on what you think is the bigger issue

It's not, but you are seeing that attempts are being made to ever so slowly prevent you, the consumer, from ever actually truly owning something Tesla is trying to argue that their truck is not really a vehicle but instead a piece of software which they have full proprietary rights over and you didn't buy it, you licensed it Because Tesla can shut down your vehicle at any time that they want meaning they have a constant internet connection to your vehicle, that's why they are trying to use this argument

It's not even passing the safety standards in the US 😂 he just said they've all been recalled

I'm glad in this one particular instance matt was vindicated in his opinion on the hagerty review not being completely honest

No the smoother designs are more for increasing the aerodynamics of the car And no, the safety standards are in fact being followed it's why they are undergoing a recall if they DIDN'T have a recall then the feds and other law enforcement bodies would be all over Tesla's @$$ right now
