Agreed, but no matter what the medium, metals, paper, coins, digital numbers It's just another means of exchange, and you cannot eat those metals, paper, coins, or digital numbers you have to trade them. Meaning someone has to be convinced to accept it for something that you want Which is why I again say that food and knowledge of food preservation techniques will be what you want to stockpile in the event of a disaster
