hello fello eytmologist. I like that you knew about Myth and its original meaning. Let me add to that with the word Daemon, which meant spirit. No suggestion of evil in its original usage either. Lets discuss more words and how their meaning and connotations change overtime :)

What is interesting is that there are many very similarities to the Egyptian afterlife and the Judeo-Christian afterlife. The 42 negative confession has a very strong similarity to that of the commandments of Judeo-Christian thought. It is widely held by many that Egyptian belief may have influenced the beliefs of the Abrahamic traditions today

Doreen Rapheal no you don't you live for a period of weeks to a few months. And even the "immortal" jellyfish isn't immortal. It cannot return to a larval state at anytime as it wishes, they've been seen in the process of being eaten by turtles and didn't revert back. It seems to be there are some limitations on precisely when and why the "immortal" jellyfish uses its immortality

yay glad they added that cultus piece in the video. Thats what the scholarly definition of a cult refers to. Anyone that uses someform of ritual to venerate a percieved divine. It differs from the modern usage and definition of a cult, which carries highly negative connotations.
