You forgot another reason Peter Tesla and their anti-consumer and anti-right to repair tactics no one is going to want to buy a Tesla if it cost them over $500 to change a brake light because they don't have access to do any sort of maintenance on their own vehicle that they paid as you said luxury prices for

  3.  @hometown1474  it's "abundant" yes but not all lithium deposits are equal and not all deposits contain a high concentration of lithium either there's different qualities in lithium and even if you find the lithium you still need to process it before it's used in manufacturing
