@dirtypenguin7950 Sadly that doesn't always work in various police precincts and court jurisdictions and the client can and will take you to civil court and you can lose badly so make sure that when you get your contract for a job as someone who is self employed you get it in writing and you have all the parameters spelled out neatly including price It's a lot easier to defend yourself when you have physical paper to present to the cops and to the judge

@BlitheApathy Good for him but one more thing, you can't record yourself on someone else's property without their permission And you can't record others if you live in a US state that requires two party consent of recording like California Another recommendation is to have that also be plainly spelled out in the contract prior to beginning the work
