Oh man that would get my blood boiling if I found out that someone had desecrated a war memorial that was to honor my countrymen for their suffering and sacrifice Dishonor towards the dead at/or desecration of gravesites and memorials is almost universally condemned by every culture around the world

I mean it's not out of the realm of possibility but I put it as an extremely low chance Politicians love symbolism and references towards heros of the nation and it's often why they self mythologize constantly, so any politician who gave the metaphorical thumbs up to the destruction of this memorial and not simply the relocation of it would face serious backlash
