  3.  @brent1252  that's not wrong you were part of Britain ergo you were subject to their laws and regulations and that power to enforce the law was projected by, say it with me now, the whims of their navy You didn't get any form of autonomy until the early 1900s which even then Australia still capitulated to the then dominant global navy, which was still Britain And now you follow the US, in fact you have always followed the US, you have participated in every single US conflict since post WW2 I say again who ever is the dominant global navy Australia will follow as their geography lends itself towards this
