  9. Uhh I don't know about the title as "peace broker" the Omari Sultanate used to have its seat of power in Zanzibar and regularly participated in the slave trade and subjugation of Africans untill the 1960s

  14.  Zahin Shahazad  no they are the Ibadis and they are the only Khawarij sect to reach dominance in a middle Eastern nation. Although to be fair the Ibadi movement does exist in Algeria and Tunisia but it is not as dominant as it is in Oman

  16.  @Grubnar  the Wahbi school is good start to begin exploring Ibadism But there's so much more than just this "third sect" You have Alevism, Mu'tazila, Muhakkima, Tasawwuf, Mu'attila, Karramiyya to name a few
