Yelling at someone is an initial act of aggression and the fact that most people can't comprehend this is extremely dangerous. If anyone is minding their own business and you confront them and start yelling at them, then those strangers push you or confront you, then the person who started the confrontation is at fault. Not to mention that YELLING AT THE PASSENGER of a car FOR PARKING is absolutely unhinged.

You and this guy are totally unhinged. If someone is yelling at your loved ones then the natural response is to back them off by any means. He didn't kick him. He didn't punch him. He pushed him. The guy wasn't even yelling at the person who was driving the car. She was in the passenger's seat. HE parked the car. And he was ALREADY moving away after he pushed him, but he still got shot? You don't get to be the initial aggressor then draw your firearm. Self-defense 101. This guy deserves prison.

It's 20 because it wasn't premeditated, he immediately stopped, and waited for the police to arrive. As terrible as it may seem, our justice system is based around punishing criminals for their behavior. Things like waiting for the police and halting your attack ARE taken into consideration during sentencing. Why? Because we might not WANT crime, BUT we DO WANT criminals to not run and to not go overboard. If every criminal waited for police and cooperated directly then it makes prosecuting them easier. No chasing, no standoffs, no gunfights, no accidents etc. That's just the way our system works. For better or worse.

You're the reason people want to restrict the 2nd Amendment lol Wtf thinks that they can confront others as the initial aggressor then shoot an unarmed person for intervening? Over what? Parking?

@JoshSand-bl3wi Actually yeah he did. I don't know where people are getting the idea that a fight is determined by "who swung first." It's determined by the initial aggressor. It always has been and always will be the initial aggressor. It only comes down to "who swung first" if two parties mutually confront each-other. If it wasn't this way then every single "PUNCH ME THEN GO ON PUNCH ME" dude has free reign to murder anyone they see by starting a confrontation. He started the confrontation. He was the one yelling at the passenger of the vehicle for parking (?), and then he killed someone for responding to his aggression. All over a civil misdemeanor.

That shove was what anyone would do if someone was yelling at their loved one in a hostile and aggressive manner. The guy confronted and became hostile towards a person (who didn't drive or park the car) for the crime of checks notes parking in a handicapped spot. Not even career criminals will shoot someone over being pushed and career criminals won't typically yell at people over parking spots.

You guys realize that yelling at people in public is assault, yeah?

It's not about first contact or every single "PUNCH ME THEN COME ON PUNCH ME" guy would be entitled to kill the other party. Starting a fight comes down to who is the initial aggressor. If I am flirting with a women and her man hits me out of nowhere, then yeah HE is the aggressor. If I was YELLING and RAISING HELL at someone and another person hits me out of nowhere, then I am the initial aggressor. Some states even have statutes that list "fighting words" as a direct defense for any charge of Assault, as the person who is starting the commotion and being unhinged IS a threatening issue. For all he knew it was a homeless bum yelling at her (in the passenger seat, btw) for parking in a handicapped spot. He responded with an appropriate amount of force to address the situation (didn't even punch the guy), and he was shot over it.
