Children are insanely durable, which is why seeing injuries on any child are immediate red flags. If we were cavemen and only had sticks and stones, children would be the last of us to bruise from play-fighting with sticks and stones. As an adult, I'll bruise after a fall and that would be my whole day. As a kid, I fell from hanging in trees and on monkey-bars before immediately getting up and continuing to run around. There's a reason that doctors and teachers need to report unusual bruising on children.
