  1. Just a note. Watching people struggle in the face of a hopeless effort only to fail can be seen as a contrasting fantasy. Yeah. The hero doesn't make it. But since THIS tale was a fantasy, we can scrub it off thinking that this fantastic world where no good can happen are just as silly as the ones where only good can happen. Another form of catharsis
