@dmitryk7320 - this is only because no other community can resist so hard conditions and so mighty enemies. And in fact, there are so many fantasies regarding continuous huge unjustified combat losses. Real history will provide you with less dramatic military statistics, but far bigger civilian casualties in comparison to the adversary. Nothing gloomy at all. Tragic? Yes. Glorious? In most cases.

@jasonbritt2497 - OK. Then it was sufficient to spot them and... They were from Saudi Arabia. So, you don't need to have deals with Afghanistan, anyway. Especially with Afghan people, - of any nationality. In the case of russians or USSR, they were asked for help by local people. Of course, these decisions were made in accordance with their own interests. But they assisted one part of people and authorities against another part, supported or sponsored by your government or/and special services. That's rather simple, as for me.

@ptbelttactics - just take a look at my name, - I don't pretend to be "American". :-) The only reason is, that automatic translations are much worse. And that most people here on the Web understand English.

@SageOfHeaven - they are peaceful for Americans, not for US government. :-) And they "invaded" Ukraine not for territories, but to stop Kiev's regime and his regiments like "Azov" and "Tornado", known even in USA for their Nazi's ideology, murdering and tortures of civilians. And, of course, they want to stop the advance of the offensive NATO infrastructure to their borders. Even in Poland and Rumania it is very close now. Moving missile launchers in Ukraine is unacceptable. If you remember Caribbean crisis, when American deployments of nuclear missiles in Italy and Turkey were matched by Soviet deployments of nuclear missiles in Cuba.
