Bull Run you know how there are different religions with people having different our LORDs, right?

do we?

NathansHVAC You want that one person owns every machine and everyone else starves? That's the alternative
2
Um... it means you don't get paid and starve. You like losing your job? And even if you'd get an UBI then... You'd have nothing to do. No purpose.

It's not the scientists, but the corporations indeed. And by multiply their wealth, they multiply the wealth of eveveryone. That's how capitalism is supposed to work.

kbennett2587 That's why I said "supposed to work". Industrial Revolution still improved the life of everyone in the long-term. The moral part can't come from the corporation, their task is to get more money, which is an amoral measurement. So the government has to do something. Automation is great and brought us here. pls don't blame working on it

Imagine Alphabet has to employ millions of commercial drivers. It's not a bad idea to let corporations educate the employees, it will stil be profitable. But I doubt there will be enough senseful jobs. Like these millions can't work as sofware engineers. In other cases when automating jobs with less and higher educated people, it could work. With the profits from automation corporations would subsidize their employees to do other work then, which will lead to others not able to compete till they have to fire employees. And even if everyone would stay employed, there wouldn't be new jobs created for younger people. I don't like any liabilities like that bc it's like: there's a way to do this work without any effort, but you still have to do it bc we're not allowed to use it.

First, that's the point Secondly, I don't understand Thirdly, "47 percent of jobs in the US are “at risk” of being automated in the next 20 years" and potentially every job Fourthly, because you need them. The gonvernment is totally allowed to impose rules. But they have to be senseful. I already said a point against your rule that makes it ineffective: "With the profits from automation corporations would subsidize their employees to do other work then, which will lead to others not able to compete till they have to fire employees. And even if everyone would stay employed, there wouldn't be new jobs created for younger people." No new jobs are created from automation, so there's nothing the people with automated jobs could work. Fifhtly, I wouldn't want to work something that could be automated.

UBI?
1
Universal Basic Income
1
what? not minimum wage, but an income that everyone gets

^ With 47% the delusional goals of scientists are reached. The social payments the US has now won't be enough. Like the regulations that after a certain amount of time you won't get any. So rather let everyone starve? In a democracy, with 50% unemployment, an UBI has good chances. Till then, idk what would be senseful. Btw during the Great Depression unemployment rose up to 25% Stephen Louie when the cost of production is reduced, the value of money increases, so that's a point for it if you need money for UBI, ez just print it

+kbennett2587 Was this the answer for the question? "With the profits from automation corporations would subsidize their employees to do other work then, which will lead to others not able to compete till they have to fire employees. And even if everyone would stay employed, there wouldn't be new jobs created for younger people."

Nononono no incentives That wouldn't be an UBI anymore. Paying people who go to HS/uni more? If it's not worth the money you'd get after you aquired the education, nor the education for you per se, you shouldn't go. School would finally have to change. Paying people more who care about the environment and work in the community? Great! But that's not something the UBI should do. If there's no worth in these things (economically)/if we don't pay for it already, an UBI shouldn't (even though there's worth that should be valued). And what will we pay people who never got an higher school education, but worked for 10 years and lose their jobs now? The same as the one graduating from HS? gg The UBI would connect us a society. It'd show the trust in humans that they'd still do something valuable even though they could watch TV 24/7. Btw, the only alternative to the UBI or a kind of, is that 1% of the population own all the machines and the others starve. Capitalists' showdown

Nice idea assuming that AI isn't capable of complex or creative work. But it is. And we won't need that many workers in compassion stuff.

Our God is eternal, transcendent and absolutely one. God is incomparable, self-sustaining and neither begets nor was begotten. Islam is the complete and universal version of a primordial faith that has been revealed before through many prophets including Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Moses, and Jesus.
