  1. They're not dieticians, they may believe it's good and may use it themselves. They see something healthy they can promote for lots of money, why not do that?

  2. But they do, there's an ingredient list. They don't have to buy something if they're not happy with the details provided. Also pretty much every product that consists of more than one ingredient doesn't have every percentage listed.
