Traditionally most if not all Black Americans were staunch Republican voters, all the way up until 1964 until Republicans headed up by senator (Barry Goldwater) openly opposed the the US governments right to enforce the implementation of the 1964 Civil Rights Act to END segregation of blacks and whites in America. Goldwater openly expressed his party’s opinion after Democrats had agreed to follow the law of the land and dismantle segregation of blacks and whites in all states of America. Black Americans now became fully aware that the Republican Party didn’t serve our best interests, so thousands took to marching in protest against Goldwater and the Republican Party’s racist decision. It had taught black Americans a vital lesson? That Republicans have never had our best interests in mind. We now educate our children and communities so Republicans never get to do it again! ONE LOVE 💕
