With MYTHS..~ Traditionally most Black Americans would vote Republican, up until (1964) when Republicans headed up by senator (Barry Goldwater) openly opposed the US governments right to enforce the implementation of The 1964 civil rights act, written to end segregation of blacks in America. Republican Goldwater openly expressed his party’s opposition to the 1964 Civil Rights act even after Democrats agreed to abide by the law of the land and do away with unfair discrimination of black Americans caused exclusively by segregation in the United states. Black Americans had now obviously become fully aware that the Republican Party didn’t serve their best interests, and so 40,000 thousands marched in protest against Goldwater opposition to ending discrimination in America of them. This taught black folks a vital lesson? That the Republican Party they had loyally voted for were not interested in serving the rights of black voters. Today we now educate our children and communities of this fact” so Republicans never get to use us that way again! ONE LOVE 💕
