 @Me-ui1zy to be fair covid was a good excuse to postpone it. But it seems the other two votes were also for staying..so they probably would have.

I get where these kanaks are coming from. But those other people became part of the island too. What macron is asking for is fair too. I do think they need some sort of ministry for indigenous people, if they don't already have that. I do think that their culture, as part of the culture of the island should be helped to be preserve. And as people who suffered colonialism, they do probably need extra help too to make sure society is fair for them. And there needs to be measures so its fair to everyone too and not a small group of early colonialist ect. What was done to them wasn't right. Like being colonized and moving in people to dilute them. But what can be done now? Move people who were born there? It really was and is unfair. But it can't be undone.
