  3. It's not meant to be an aristocracy either. Or an oligarchy. Or a plutocracy. The few having too much power and influence was considered bad at inception. .and in this atmosphere of translate and transnational companies limiting the people's powers to the states is beyond weak and ignores the progress that allows a modern country to be connected.

  4. Also aside from everyone beating the minority. The truth is that that is not what happened in ancient democracies either. People tended to vote for the common good and forced to participate in the democratic debate. Two, democracy is a colloquial term because it is democratic. Representative democracy. And then each state votes on the president. That aspect of it is intelligent not because it isn't a democracy, because it is. But because it stops one region from developing into an empire. So that one region doesn't subsume the others. It can be argued that no longer matters since a shared identity has already developed.

But more specifically, I'm referring to how mass communication and media and the inter(though even before the internet) has allowed a very generalize identity to exist. Transportation has also helped with this. The time when people would live their whole lives within a ten mile just doesn't exist anymore. So many people are born one place and move.

  7. Bill maher was never very funny. And always very smug. I never liked him. Carlin was a real comedian

  8. How is that out of touch. Makes no sense. Democrats and independents who don't support trump, make up the largest population. But more importantly, people who want fewer wars and better healthcare are wanted by most.
