  1. The U.S as I see it is half anti intellectual and half intellectual supremacy. And that's the weird divide. And it seems into the culture. So you get stories where intellectuals are the good guys(like interstellar) and everyone else is dumber than rocks(like the awesome a series of unfortunate events...well intellectuals are also kinda dumb in that). And on the other hand you have people that distrust universities. And stories where the premise is that people are happier in the rural or countryside. Or someone learns that an uneducated person is smarter. A kind rural/country supremacy idea. Americans are a people of extremes . Both sides offended and defensive. Not seeing where they both use knowledge. Intellectuals seem to dismiss the science that goes into farming ect. And I don't even know why rural/country folk are like that. But I don't think the majority of people are like that. But the extremes are represented in media. And the views do exist.
