@velikovskysghost I meant between whether someone is likely to be a conspiracy theorist and religion while taking into account education and other factors. The factors related to religion are not related to conspiracies..even though superficially you'd think they'd be similar. But they don't fulfill the same psychological needs. And most theories aren't based on religion. Conspiracy theories grew with modern times. Conspiracy theories are about gaining secret knowledge while modern religions are open. They're about not trusting certain information. One could say authority. Most religions are the opposite. They have authorities ect.

Even by your own logic,. you've got it backwards. This would just show an inherent aspect of humanity. As oppose to something cultural or educated. Way too many religious people don't believe in conspiracies. And you'd have to find some sort of study to find some connection that isn't just the population happens to be religious. This is a conspiracy theory of yours that there's a connection.
