@EsmeraldaWolfsbane7777 umm that's exactly what he wants, a weak eastern Europe. He's fighting to keep them weak, oppressed, and under his boot. And for their land and resources. This is 14-16th century Spanish empire mentality.

@UknownWarrior1876 so what? They're counterattacking and taking land back. That takes will, and skill, and they are the ones putting their lives on the line. There's nothing special about Russia picking on a smaller country either. Russia had like 10 times the wealth. The only thing Ukraine had higher than Russia on every stat is democracy, less corruption, and more freedom.

@Mario-rg5cq you're willing to lose 8 million lives on a war that isn't necessary? Russia used it's best equipment first. They can't make enough decent stuff. The Russian economy hasn't been getting stronger. It merely didn't decline catastrophically.
