  1. It doesn't bring them into the city. The video says they stay in their resort bubble. Which are foreign own. Only benefit might be the taxes on the resort. But the businesses were failing.

  2. Humans that don't live in the area might have a short term benefit* As you said, now the locals are less protected. And there's ecological damage to their country. Some things taken don't grow back. Honestly you seem offended and defensive. Edit: * of course those same people would just go somewhere else if things got bad there. They wouldn't care(and I'm not asking them to, it's the reality).
