It was an insulting gross exaggeration. But it's wrong anyway. If they really had focused on education, and accountability, 20 years would be enough to stand on its own. It's not like it needed to be perfect. Just enough to stand.

@williambustos2132 Pakistan did do that. And plays that role. And no one was willing to criticize them or call them including the U.S or the afghan government. So that just adds to the original point. It was all a house of cards set to fall.
