@JD-xm3mg Do you know anyone who died in the army, injury, or trauma? How about people that got injured in training or just couldn't pass. A hard situation made you hard and unsympathetic. You got yours and instead of leaving the world better, you want people to go through the same hardships.

@JD-xm3mg It shouldn't be that hard to progress in life to such a low extent. "It takes everything you have" Exceptions aren't the rule. And not everyone can be exceptional. That's a problem with opportunities. That's people lacking access. I remember this from a documentary. You can't look at a rose that broke through concrete and wonder why all roses don't do that. That's a sign of a problem. When people are set up to fail, they will. Most will, that's what averages are. The solution would be to make the environment in the first place.

@JD-xm3mg look even you admit you don't want your own family going through what you did..and you want them to aim higher. Now expand that to a macro level. You say you'll help people who want it. But the option isn't there for a lot of people. You want to rely on someone being as generous as you, and them knowing that person? Also people are bad judged of others intent. Even you assume people are where they are by choice. Everyone assumes people want to be in that situation. Waiting to see desire is such a bad course of action because most people aren't expressing themselves obviously like that. Especially men, let's be honest.
