@jmgonzales7701 that's definitely up to you guys to decide. But it isnt a definite outcome. All of the history should be acknowledged. Someone else mentioned that English is as much of a colonial language(except without the period of rebellion or great writers ect that wrote in Spanish). 300 years, I don't come from an old country, that's about as long as any American country. I understand that English is useful. But Spanish is a small part of the history and heritage, especially of some peoples ancestry. I hope it's harmless enough. Plus you get some comradeship and some connection with latAm. Not saying its useful for anything right now.

@jmgonzales7701 Mr.Gonzales saying this. I respect that the Fillipinos were able to keep their language for so long. But spanish isn't a white thing. This video even talked about how much mexican influence there is. And even the iberians were once under the romans. That is still like 2-3 centuries of your history. It has a place in it. And there's nothing wrong with connecting with the broader ex-colony of spain world.
