The filibuster is about apathy. It's an endurance run. Someone keeps talking endlessly, until they beat into submission the people that don't care too much about it. It's about tiring the other people. Not about the argument. They don't even have to talk about the bill. The whole point of the senate and a democracy is to pass rules that most people approve of. So that's ridiculous. The filibuster by it's very definition is obstructionist.

@kikoalonso6 What are you saying that the Dems are the majority? What about when they aren't. What about the times they've placed restrictions on the filibuster. The filibuster is ridiculous. The congress itself, the two houses, and the president, are already suppose to be the checks and balances of new legislation. And even the judicial branch is something is wrong with it. Though I don't feel strongly about it. it's just dumb. And I'm surprised anyone would argue for it.
