Let's be honest when people recount stories, he's not taking into account how fired up he was. And he even admits here that a reporter witnessed it, and a reporter reported what they heard.

Ben Shapiro isn't a politician. Why the hell would they debate each other.

@AndiNJ2332 She didn't say anything about letting people shoplift. She wants better wealth distribution to lower crime. No one wants to take away the police. They want to reform it. For decades people have dealt with social problems by cutting budgets for them, while maintaining and increasing the budget of the police. Same with the military. Some people want some services spun out of the police, and that funding to go with it. In general, people want police reforms in training ect. A progressive like her wants to help the poor. This idea that republicans want to has no basis. they don't propose anything to help the poor, or the working class, and not even the middle class(except the upper middle class that are wealthy).

@CesarGC76 Except that's BS. Someone lied to you. Or someone twisted the story to make her seem bad. She used an analogy. She did not literally say he catcalled her. - “I don’t owe a response to unsolicited requests from men with bad intentions,” she said. “And also like catcalling, for some reason they feel entitled to one.” -

@masterDarts4188 No they don't. And I've never seen Ben Shapiro as a journalist. he acts much more like a pundit. but Journalist and politicians do not debate each other. Journalists question, sometimes aggressively.

@turbogav8674 Her job is to be a politician. Why would she take time off to engage in some youtube debating? That's silly.

@CesarGC76 It's more fair to say that she alluded to sexism, either on his part, or on his demeanor. But it doesn't change that it was stupid for Ben Shapiro to want a little youtube debate with a politician like he did. I don't think it has anything to do with how she thought it would turn out. Let's not forget Shapiro walked away from a freaking BBC interviewer. That's what a journalist does. And that's how you treat politicians. Not this youtube debate crap. What would they even debate about? Ben Shapiro's ideals? Because she's actually working to implement policies. That's her job. She debates when she has to for her job. And you want her to side step that for a dumb publicity match for Shapiro? That doesn't make sense. And nothing she's done has questioned her integrity. Even if anyone doesn't like her.

@jsbaldo5556 Here's where your whole system falls apart. BLM is a decentralized organization. So it's impossible for what you say to actually happen. Different people use different wording. But the general goal is to reform the police. That could take the form of abolishing one department and reconstituting it. It could take the form of an existing one restructuring. It can take the form of a new or existing agency taking care of some of the current police duties, that shouldn't be part of the police, and this group can be nonviolent. Like dealing with homeless, or checking up on people ect. This is where defunding and redistribution come in. It can also take the form of police changing and adopting different policies to be more monitored, less violent, less armed. Even in the stuff you stated, I'm not sure what you're scared of or trying to scare people with. It's possible some people are using abolish the police due to how angry they are at it. But that's either unlikely or too few. You'd really have to go to unlikely places to find people that believe that. And I've literally never seen them.
