@gregoryrobins7725 south America does not take the Russian side. And what you've/Russia's done is what Latin America has had to suffer through it's history. There's maybe two countries that are friendly with Russia. And even then say this is the wrong way.

@greyqimie168 Ukraine never attacked people for their language. They had the same laws at the time that they had since the founding of the country. there's no genocide except against Ukranians, if you someone thinks there is. Even the breakaway regions weren't a language issues. But they had to fight a hostile force on their land. Who took over the civilian government and was led, organized, and had foreign soldiers from Russia in it.

@IceDogXena Ukraine actually fought for it's democracy and freedom. What's sad is the near defeated attitude of Russians. "I'm not political" "I don't pay attention to politics" Sad, defeated people. Often afraid to say what they think. Ukraine didn't make any especially poor choice. It had the misfortune of being next to a psychopathic, ego crazy country called Russia.

@IceDogXena you got it, they lack democracy. A government is in place that controls the media. That controls the opposition. Even in peace time. Where opposition parties get poisoned, harassed by police. Russia lacks freedom. The only thing Russia has is ignorance. It might ignore people who are beneath notice.

@greyqimie168 I'll tell you a story about Russian forces killing Ukrainians, and trying to wipe out that nationality. But they were a militia formed in response to the junta Russia formed in Ukraine, after which they were incorporated and became a regular force. Here's a funny thing about the azov, they were Russian speakers from Russian speaking regions.

@lewisc9959 a week old account. About something from two centuries ago. Who's the imperialist and expansionist in this conflict the answer is Russia. So it wouldn't make sense for an indigenous to back Russia. No one is talking about giving Ukraine freedom it already had it. And it wanted to improve it. Russia wanted to take it away.
