  1. They translated the "people illegal" as "criminals pay them money to come over". Not sure if that's a good representation of her words. In English people make a distinction between illegal and criminal in terms of severity of language when referring to people.

  4.  @rickybobby5916  that's not accurate. nationality by birth isn't always guaranteed in most countries. The problem comes from that that was how the D.R did it too but they retroactively changed it so that if you crossed illegally, then it didn't matter. This is called birthright citizenship, or jus soli. There's different kinds or by blood.
