  1. Propaganda. It's just a natural thing that develops. It controls people in the same way social mores, and culture does. But there's a strain or pushback of anti religion that goes in an extreme direction. In the west it started as anti catholicism, before turning into an anti religious thing. It doesn't help that the religious right is more visible, especially in the U.S where they give it a bad name. People than forget that people like mlk, Gandhi, Malcom x, and even talaib and Omar are somewhat religious. Which is the normal Or average, level of religiosity.
