  1. My guess is that he meant the character was generic. White, gruff guy has been the generic since 360 days. I thought Drake from uncharted would be like that but he was fun and it was good. Snake is good too. Even tho he's gruff and kinda Caucasian (technically part Japanese but that's so buried in lore and doesn't stand out) Basically if you take out the generic aspects of the gruff Character than it doesn't matter.
