  2. Maybe working longer and studying longer but that's doubtful. It is not economic though. The poorest people both in developed and undeveloped countries are the ones that have kids. And studying and working is only for Asian countries. It doesn't explain it in western ones.

  3. On that last bit, it's probably better to have a kid while the grandparents can help them then when you'll have to care for them.

  4. I think it makes sense since it goes against human history. Humans are in a downward spiral and most people have been ignoring it. So we haven't reached a point to deal with it.
