  1. The issue is that words are used differently in different places. Martyr here means victim, or violent death, and isn't religious So this could mean he died by Israeli forces despite being innocent. He was killed for being Palestinian. He was killed while performing aid work/journalism ect. it's possible it was a young child killed by a missile. And your implication is a possibility. But there are so many more. If you think he was a Hamas fighter or something. As another comment said, that's not how the word is used in that part of the world. My guess is her child died. As in, a non combatant, probably a minor.
