@Commonlogicguy I love how pro Chinese people ignore north Korea and south Korea. That's what it's like, and why they're two separate countries.

If china invades, and they don't immediately win. Couldn't Taiwan just declare independence. I think half of the U.N would immediately recognize Taiwanese independence. The fear of the attack is what's keeping them from it.

@csuporj NATO has little to do with Taiwan. But it's not busy. At best, some countries are just starting to ramp up production. So it might be the worst for fighting NATO. But NATO has nothing to do with Taiwan.

@bz9807 You mean that it's two separate governments that don't recognize the other, existing in different territories that used to be part of the same country. But the situation is totally different. But I have news for you, neither Korea recognizes the other, and both claim the entire peninsula. I guess north Korea isn't as disrespectful as china is, but it also isn't as powerful.

@miranda9062 if you want to give China to the ROC, otherwise, that doesn't matter.

@jonathanjacob5453 No they don't. I know the US doesn't. Stop spreading misinformation.

@lianghao7128 the first part is a real issue. The second part isn't.

@tumuamapuletamaaiga2847 my facts are fine so far. What do you think the three communique mean because they don't mean what you seem to think. There's no one china act. Now go read the very policy you mention. And next time don't forget about the Taiwan relations act and six assurances.

@michaelhuang7842 Not PRC China obviously
1
@michaelhuang7842 is having that agency consistent with a single country? Taiwan does have a foreign minister, a different government, that allies itself with other countries because it fears an attack from the PRC. Why ignore these other things? Obviously the history of the region is why it exists, as well as the issues and conflicts with China. Including it's former claims to the mainland.

@michaelhuang7842 I've literally said that. They claimed each other's territory and view each other as illegitimate, exactly the same as Korea. But Taiwan has moved away from that. At this point, Chinese aggression is the only thing from establishing peace, and solving the issue.

@michaelhuang7842 That's the reverse of what happened(China suspended contact) . You keep finding ways to try to blame Taiwan for China's actions.
