@royalroyal2210 They didn't force the government to do anything. They didn't take control of the government.

@blackpanthar906 say no to military juntas and coups.

@blackpanthar906 me, no. And neither did OP probably.

@royalroyal2210 because elections happened. That reflects the will of the people. Not military force.

@JocoMarkovic-gf1eh nothing fascist about it. It was fairly progressive. Some right wingers, which Russia has a lot of, were for it because it represented sovereignty. Thus it has broad support.

@pierrejulus3982 They oppress the people by negating and taking away their power. That's the issue here.

@royalroyal2210 It wasn't a coup. The government remained in power. And the government followed the democratic process, and ran elections..yes that's democratic. And yes, that wasn't a coup. This is a military junta over throwing the government and doing whatever it feels like

@royalroyal2210 that's not a coup. The president isn't the government. He was going to resign. And no one chased him out. No one pushed him to do anything, other than his own party and the rest of the government that wanted him to resign for what a disgrace he was. He decided to flee on his own to see if Russia could potentially install him or some such.

You can't focus on anything while your house is on fire. You put the fire out first and then focus on the cause. Destroying democracy is resetting everything. And back to the building block before you can start fixing anything. Democracy is step 1.
