  1. ​ @picklethepirate  more like people have given so many. tired of telling willfully obtuse people. Quick run down The US law is not like this law. That law is about people acting on behalf. This law is about any international, not even country specific, funds. Including from foundations and individuals. It mirrors similar laws used to oppress people because it's about labeling, not transparency. They already tell that information, so this is redundant, and about labelling. This is about stigmatizing NGOs, about suppressing dissent. NGOs are often by dedicated people, not from any particular country, sometimes acting internationally in cooperation. And if you see how this law has been used to target opposition and lead the country towards authoritarianism... That's all you have to do, look at what Russia did with this law. And I'm 100% sure you've heard every news segment tell you this.
