@ChoCoMoCo69 Ukraine didn't commit any atrocities in this conflict, or preceding it. The US didn't invade Cuba or fight a war over the missle crisis(which happened last century in the 70s). Instead it negotiated, and did a blockade. Russia doesn't get to decide a European country, joining the European union or NATO.

@amansourav9963 NATO didn't invade Iraq or anything. And Libya was a UN resolution.

@rap3208 the issue is you're saying the US is doing something wrong, then ignoring Russia doing something worst. Why give Russia this pass. The US is not doing the same thing. The US isn't trying to take over parts of a country, especially a non oppressive, democratic country for itself.

@eget4144 and that's why you think it's okay for Russia to kill Ukranians, and destroy their country. Perfect logic.

@carkawalakhatulistiwa BS. You're talking down to everyone if you think people can't make a moral or ethical judgement. I'm tired of that line. I'm tired of that thinking. I understand poor countries not doing anything. But I don't understand people acting like people from a not "highly developed" country are incapable of moral judgement. Especially when this kinda thing affects them and us, most of all.

@kennylin5708 But that's bull. At the time, even the US was critical of it. And not condemning Russia when you have the opportunity doesn't make sense. It makes no sense at all to use the US as an excuse when judging this event. This war, and the transgressions of it.

Do you think that was correct? This kind of thinking is so bad. Do you think what Russia is doing is correct or not. Do you think what Pakistan did was correct or not.

@YakuzaSRC it would have been in the same position. Do you want the possibility of help, or no help at all. Ukraine has expressed it's thankful for the international help it's received.

You can definitely make.the argument that it's authoritarianism vs democracy. Russia attacked Ukraine for it's democratic /European leanings, to install a more authoritarian government(and it seems they were angling for that possibility in 14, and did do it in the donbas). And just because India doesn't say anything, doesn't mean that they aren't wrong. Whatever their perception doesn't mean it is reality. They might just not care. I do understand that maybe it isn't conducive to her idea of rallying around international law instead. She seems to view it as a better rallying point, and I'm not arguing it isn't. But you can't deny it's an authoritarian government trying to destroy a burgeoning democracy. And the leanings of a democracy are what's causing Russia to dislike it. Russia doesn't like Ukraine not being under it's thumb. And Russia is authoritarian. Democracy itself makes Ukraine more separate from Russia. Russia definitely wants to curtail Ukraine's democratic development. and encourage authoritarianism.
