duncansmith7562 the Russian arrogance and sense of superiority, and history of it is why these countries don't want to go out of their way to promote it.. plus they have their own language that Russia has hurt to restore. These things will go through a process of fine tuning. And hopefully, legitimate criticism is heard. That woman should be allowed to stay. But nothing else is bad about what they're doing. Russian can still be learned. People can even learn history and culture in those languages. If there is anything useful in knowing Russian, people will learn it.

duncansmith7562 this really is nonsense. People keep telling you it wasn't outlawed. The laws in Ukraine are essentially the same as before yanukovych. Only difference is trying to promote Ukraine media over everyone else's.

duncansmith7562 those countries have their history where usually they were combined or scrapped together from different countries/nations. But that's not necessary. Every immigrant group doesn't get to change the language. That's not the standard internationally. This doesn't mean someone is discriminated against.

@eduardoventurosa it's hard for old people. We need to be sympathetic to her now. Not like she knew she'd be tested

@AleksandrsSkils exactly because of that war. Russia likes to make people of Russian descent feel like if they aren't treated like superior, then they're mistreated. It's a carrot Putin daggles. You can feel superior if you betray your country.

They shouldn't expulse people(like that woman), and they say they won't, and hopefully that's true.
