@PlaYer-sn5or There's no equivalence there. The only equivalence is china is in the Russia position of an old state that thinks something belongs to it, or it has some ethnical claim, or some old historical claim.

@PlaYer-sn5or The PRC wasn't chosen. The Japanese specifically returned it to the ROC, essentially twice.

@yogiahmad328 it's an international affair, with a country with similar values, who's an ally. This BS about family is ridiculous. They're enemies. The democratic world is friends with Taiwan.
1
@yogiahmad328 That's just a lie that authoritarian governments like to tell. works fine for the Taiwanese. Democracy works for everyone.
1
@yogiahmad328 china doesn't control people outside of their territory, whether those people are Chinese or not. The Taiwanese have a democracy. That's their culture that you want to ignore.

@DK-yz9xk It doesn't matter because they don't see their country as the PRC government. They don't see their nationality as the same as theirs.

@marklee8512 leave china alone to take over? How beneficial, how one sidedly beneficial. The situation with china is exactly the same as Korea. Both claim right to the territory of the other because they were one country. As someone else said, the PRC never had Taiwan. The ROC did have the mainland. Taiwan shouldn't get the mainland anymore than Mainland china should get Taiwan. Taiwan is a de facto country. It is a state, with a government and territory. It is not a political party, currently in power, or anything like that.

@DK-yz9xk they don't matter. Because china isn't a democracy. The PRC wasn't elected. And Taiwan has its own government, and it was never a part of the PRC. If you're asking Taiwan to join China, then it is 100% solely upto them.
