@johnfor7522 you mean Putin looked at that real event and tried to create the illusion of a facsimile. That's BS. Serbia and Kosovo, the break up of yugo Slavia, has nothing to do, or excuse Russia. .the two events are unrelated. No one used that event to take land. No one wanted to. But more specifically, these are different countries. And each action is distinct.

@cyberspace667 ha they didn't target people based on language. In fact it was the same situation. An armed group wanted to take their lands, on behalf of russia. And Ukraine were willing to negotiate. But those armed forces and Russia weren't.

@johnfor7522 Nothing indicates they did. Their government didn't do anything towards that. Instead Russia organized groups and agents took over by force of arms. The government of the region got over thrown.
