  1. ​ @samsmith2635  Wrong. Even that is democratic. It's just convoluted. But you vote for the people who will then vote for the president. But they pledged to vote for whoever gets the most anyway because they're also part of each party. You vote for the elector who's in the party, backing the person you want. It's convoluted but the end result is still democratic.

  2. You could just as easily look at even more diverse countries who have a better life expectancy than either, or the US. You omit the issues with it. Like how easy it is to be authoritarian with it.
