  4. ​ @ericp1139  what forever war? That was because they had to occupy. Ukraine is a sovereign country that's an ally. This is not a forever war. This war can be ended on our Ally's terms who's in the right, just, and suffered an assault by Russia. We don't need to occupy them. Ukraine has done a great job, and stood fast on its own. This isn't Afghanistan.

  5.  @ericp1139  It's considered a forever war because the US stayed. Phrase it however you want. The same doesn't hold for Ukraine. Like calling WW2 a forever war. And yes they are an ally. Btw the US left because people pressured the government too..but the Afghan government couldn't stand on its own. A problem that doesn't exist in Ukraine. Which has a strong government and a people that want the same values as Europe. And it's those values and Ukraine sovereignty that Russia hated and invaded. Ukraine was so independent that Russia couldn't control it. That is exactly why this isn't like Afghanistan and won't have the problems with that. We have a government and people who stand on their own and want, on their own, to embody these values.
