@Blitzkers99 you don't defend by attacking the country you're supposedly defending, that doesn't want you there. You don't get away with it by saying a murder has been done before so it's okay. And even the US wouldn't try to take over territory nowadays. It's nonsense. And this isn't the first Russian invasion, not even the first in Ukraine. Ukraine wouldn't be fighting so hard for so long if Russia was there to "defend" them from a threat that doesn't exist. Russia is the threat. Russia is the attacker that needs defending from. And Russia has only tried to make things worst for Ukraine because Russia doesn't care or take Ukraine into consideration. Russia isn't the good guy here. So drop the "defend" crap excuse. Drop Amy excuse of being "forced" to as well. I'm saying that preemptively. Russia has no excuse. Ukraine isn't doing what Russia wants? That's too bad. Maybe if Russian had been better to it's neighbors, it wouldn't haven't mattered. Russia should have taken the route Germany did. But it has too much ego, not enough self reflection. But it's ego didn't match reality. And the only thing Russia can do is use force to feed it's ego.

@joe rios in terms of iraq, the answer is yes. Whataboutism aside, i.e your comment has nothing to do with the topic. even Libya seems be headed to a better place. Your comment is built on fundamental lies or assumptions. Those places weren't peaceful to begin with. No one said any one country can end all wars or create world peace. It doesn't make sense in the context of Russia starting a war, or assassinating or imprisoning opposition candidates. And the places you mention have a higher chance of freedom and democracy than before. Iraq might have more political freedoms than Russia at this point.
